EcoVadis: On the Path to Sustainability
We chose EcoVadis for an objective assessment of our corporate sustainability, an integral part of the continuous improvement process that guides our daily actions. This is a growth opportunity to re-evaluate our practices and optimize our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance.
Our EcoVadis Rating
We're pleased to announce that following the EcoVadis evaluation, we've been awarded the Silver Medal.
Our assessment isn't an endpoint, but a stimulus to do even better. We're determined to minimize our environmental impact and strengthen our ethical policies, contributing to the well-being of our staff and the environment in which we work.
A Global and Reliable Platform
EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted sustainability assessment platforms. Very few companies manage to obtain certification with high scores, making our result even more significant. To fully understand each company’s real impact, the assessment structure is customized based on its size, activity, and location of operations.
Obtaining the EcoVadis Certification
The EcoVadis certification is obtained through a rigorous process involving several stages:
- Online Survey: the process begins with completing a digital survey, requiring an in-depth analysis of business practices in various areas, such as waste management, ethics, and supply chain.
- Providing Evidence: when completing the questionnaire, it’s necessary to provide evidence demonstrating the company’s policies. These can include documents, certificates, reports, and other forms of documentation supporting the answers given.
- Evaluation: once the questionnaire is completed and evidence attached, the data is analyzed by a group of experts who assess the company’s ESG performance.
- Score and Certification: companies demonstrating significant commitment to sustainability receive an EcoVadis badge. Among these, those that stand out the most receive a medal. Medals are divided into four categories: Bronze (top 35%), Silver (top 15%), Gold (top 5%), and Platinum (top 1%). Each recognition is valid for 12 months.
Evaluation Criteria
The EcoVadis assessment includes 21 sustainability criteria divided into four main themes:
- Environment: assesses the environmental impact of business activities, considering natural resource management, greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, and renewable energy use.
- Ethics: analyzes the company’s commitment to preventing corruption, unfair competition, and deceptive practices. Companies must demonstrate clear policies, staff training, and monitoring systems to ensure ethical behavior.
- Labor and Human Rights: examines how the company ensures safe and healthy working conditions, respects workers’ rights, promotes diversity and inclusion, and ensures there is no discrimination.
- Sustainable Procurement: evaluates the company’s procurement practices, including supplier selection criteria, contract conditions, and supplier relationship management to promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.

Embracing Eco-Sustainability
For us, working in an eco-sustainable way is an attitude that guides every action and decision. Our Bulciago headquarters is equipped with solar panels that produce part of the electricity we use. The rest of the necessary electricity is supplied by partners who guarantee its origin from renewable sources.
Our Environment and Safety Policy promotes sustainable practices, actively involving all staff in various initiatives. We believe that transparency and daily commitment are essential elements to concretely contribute to Environmental Sustainability.
Collaboration with Our Suppliers
We prioritize suppliers who share our values and require them to respect our ethical and eco-sustainability Standards. We regularly visit their facilities and, with the support of our Purchasing and Quality Departments, audit their processes.
This allows us to assess their compliance with our ISO Standards and represents an important opportunity for discussion, often leading to improvement proposals that can be exploited by both parties.
Integrity and Responsibility
Our governance structure is designed to support integrity and responsibility in every business decision. We do this through the adoption of a Supervisory Body that oversees and updates good practices, and through a Whistleblowing platform for anonymous reporting.
Satech's governance adopts the Organizational Model “231” not due to regulatory obligation, but as a voluntary choice that adds value to our company.
A Sustainable World is a Safer World.
The EcoVadis certification drives us to improve our Offer. Ensuring a safe work environment cannot stop at the present alone. Protecting people today also means safeguarding the environment they will operate in tomorrow.
